NTI Data in Cascade Fall 2020
CASCADE is now re-open for Out-of-School Time providers to check their student data. You will only see data for students with a returned parent permission form. Student data currently in Cascade differs from normally available data, as a result of Non-Traditional Instruction in 2020. This document highlights data accessible to Out-of-School Time (OST) providers specific to 2020 NTI circumstances.
- NTI Participation
Using KDE standards, this will show you the recorded online school participation level of each student. It is not traditional “attendance” and is defined by a variety of touchpoints a teacher may have with a student including submitting paper assignments, one-on-one meetings, group video communication, and time spent in learning management software.
Six-week grades for elementary and middle school students and semester grades for high school students, along with the teacher and class name, are available on Cascade.
- Historical Academic Information
Grades and test scores from previous years are visible under the Academic Lookup option.
- Traditional Attendance
Participation is currently provided as the substitute to gauge the regularity of student engagement with school.
- KPREP and MAP scores from 2020
KPREP testing was not conducted in Spring 2020. MAP testing has not been conducted since Winter 2019-20. Thus, standardized test scores for this time period are not available.
- Individual Assignment Grades
Congruent with pre-NTI practices, individual assignment grades and class grade breakdowns are not available through Cascade. To understand individual class performance, log into Google Classroom with the student or reach out to the teacher.
