Column Definitions:
-
Free/Reduced Lunch:
Community Eligibility (CE) offers students in high-poverty areas an opportunity
to receive meals at no charge. For more information, please visit the
JCPS Free & Reduced-Price Meal Program website.
-
Paid Lunch:
Students not receiving CE assistance. Meal prices vary by meal and location and are
generally between $1.75 and $2.90 a meal.
-
MA/Rd # Tested:
The # of students tested at this school; grouped by Race/ECE/Total Students and Paid Lunch status
or Free-Reduced Lunch status.
-
MA/RD % P/D:
The average percentile rank of the RIT score for this group of students. RIT is short for Rasch
Unit and is an estimation of a student's instructional level. It also measures a student's
progress or growth in school. Think of it as when a doctor tells you that your child is in
the xx growth percentile for their age.
-
MA/RD GAP:
For Black, Hispanic, and Other Races GAP represents the difference in percentile rank of the RIT
score between the respective race and White students in the same lunch category. A positive
number means the Black, Hispanic, or Other Races group is not doing as well as the White race, a
negative number means they are doing better than the White race. The ECE GAP is compared against
the Total column.
